Today your engineers must piece together several tools to move a production application forward and explain their decisions. We imagine one space for the conversation, the work carried out and the changes proposed. This page describes a product direction, not an existing feature or a guaranteed release schedule.
A mission is not always a conversation.
Move from a question to work you can review
The Workbench vision brings several modes into one desktop: discuss a problem, delegate an end-to-end task to a specialist capability, then take control of assisted development. Each mode would remain connected to the same project, so an engineer could understand what was attempted, changed and left pending.
Sensitive actions would require human review under the permissions chosen. The goal is not to promise uncontrolled execution; it is to help teams delegate repetitive work without delegating accountability.
This thread of work needs context that lasts.
Projects that remember their decisions
We envisage project workspaces where useful context and decisions remain retrievable, plus scheduled automations for recurring tasks. Open connectors would link authorized tools in your organization rather than require a closed environment.
Access to local files and the terminal would require explicit permissions, so your teams stay in control of the local resources entrusted to each task.
Desktop convenience must never come before governance.
Make governance part of the workspace
The vision includes an administrable extension catalog, roles and network policies defined with the organization. Security teams could govern authorized capabilities, while engineers would know which actions need approval before entrusting a production application to the workspace.
Argy Workbench has not been developed at this stage. The details of these capabilities will be defined as the product takes shape; no interface here claims to show an existing application.
